Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter from Mexico was born into a music-loving family. She spent most of her early years listening to classic music and boleros of the past, traditional ranchero or romantic songs and older classical songs. Ana loves Tangos. She also loves operas, and every form of dramatic performance. At the age 16, she began to sing and study music with her mother. Flavio, a Mexican famous tenor, started to provide her with more intense training in singing. In Guadalajara, she attended the School of Music of University of Guadalajara as well as in Toluca in The School of Sacred Music. In her early career, she included performances with a variety of opera choruses, chamber groups and chamber groups in Guadalajara. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and sings Latin American traditional music solo at many private events. In addition to being an instructor and performer in the local area, her love of arts and music keeps her active in a variety of initiatives. Ana was also a part of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is presently a professor in the Performance Loft. Ana is thankful for being able to share her passion and enthusiasm for traditional Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to impart a desire to, particularly in the younger age group to keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
